Hilltop Montessori School is currently looking for a Director of Development and Communications, starting immediately. As Hilltop Montessori School heads into its 40th year in 2012, the organization is seeking to expand its Development efforts and strengthen its Communications. This person will coordinate the School’s overall Development and Communication efforts and collaborate with Administrative Team members and volunteers to implement programs.
Primary areas of responsibility:
- Develop a program for cultivation and stewardship of donors
- Create a Development calendar
- Assist with the overall communications of the school; from messaging to website to social media
- Work closely with the Head, Administrative Team, and the Development Committee on all Development efforts
- Assist in coordinating and implementing the Annual Fund and Capital Campaign efforts
- Represent the school enthusiastically in a wide variety of settings (school fundraising events, community organizations such as the Brattleboro Chamber of Commerce, alumni gatherings, etc.)
Operational tasks
- Work closely with the Head of School on all Development efforts. The Development Director reports to the Head of School.
- Serve on the following committees: the Administrative Team, the Board Development Committee, the Annual Fund Committee, and the Capital Campaign Committee.
- Implement and oversee the Development calendar
- Assist with the development of promotional materials
